Job Summary
Accompany physicians into patient rooms to accurately record medical examinations and information necessary to complete medical records. Prepare charts prior to visits as directed by physicians' expectations for speed and accuracy, then review them for completeness using reference materials. Ensure patient privacy at all times while navigating electronic medical records and word processing software effectively. This role supports the Orthopedic Associates Clinic within Fort HealthCare's mission to be the healthiest community in Wisconsin.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, orally and in writing, in person and telephonically with co-workers, physicians, patients, and patient's families
- BLS or Heartsaver Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Medical terminology
- One year of transcription experience
- Certified transcriptionist
