Job Summary
Scribe position responsible for medical reports and documentation under physician/mid-level provider supervision. Duties include accurately documenting office visits and procedures, entering verbal orders for labs/imaging/medications/surgical procedures, assisting with in-office administration, and contributing to the development of policies/procedures for the transcription area. The role involves coordinating training for new scribes, conducting quality reviews (e.g., tracking character counts and turnaround times), and supporting continuous improvement. Candidate should have medical terminology knowledge (preferred) and strong typing skills. This position emphasizes maintaining a professional, respectful environment and adherence to safety protocols (Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control Plans and required safety trainings).
Required Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant and/or medical terminology knowledge preferred
- Above average typing skills required
