Screw Machinist Set-up Operator

Conduct comprehensive setups, tooling changes, and adjustments on Davenport Screw Machines to produce precision parts meeting exact specifications. Analyze and resolve complex machine and programming issues swiftly to minimize downtime. Perform First Article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to engineering blueprints. Strictly follow all manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation while conducting daily preventative maintenance to maintain a safe work environment. Work effectively within a team structure with rotating assignments and cross-training opportunities. This role requires a high school diploma, mechanical aptitude, and direct hands-on setup experience with Davenport or other multi-spindle screw machines. Previous experience in high-volume metal manufacturing is preferred. The position involves standing for up to 8 hours and lifting materials weighing up to 40 pounds frequently.
