Job Summary
Repair screens and windows, drive delivery vehicles, and communicate with store employees. Measure frames to determine screen needs, cut materials, roll spline, and replace corners or damaged frame parts. Determine repair costs based on supplies used and manage inventory of raw materials. Follow safety measures and maintain a clean worksite. Report customer satisfaction issues to the Screen Department Coordinator. Must communicate effectively with colleagues and customers. Requires regular and prompt attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule. Compensation is $15.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be willing to acquire product knowledge and repair techniques
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual(s)
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
- Ability to understand and respond to verbal instructions and questions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Must be able to get along with co‐workers
- Must be able to deal with colleagues and customers effectively and professionally
- A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
