Job Summary
Lead role in setting up, operating, and monitoring automated screen printing presses (often multi-color) to produce high-quality printed materials. Responsibilities include quality control checks (ink adhesion tests, blue-line/size verification), troubleshooting equipment and print issues, training and supporting a team (up to 4) to meet production goals, enforcing safety and SOPs, and managing color accuracy, ink inventory, and production documentation. Requires attention to detail, strong communication, and experience with screen printing in apparel or related industries; on-site Fitchburg, MA facility; ITAR and ISO9000 considerations; must pass a background check.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of printing experience with automatic presses (preferably screen printing)
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment or print quality issues
- Ability to train and lead a team (up to 4 employees)
- Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to SOPs
- Attention to detail for quality control
- Understanding of basic printing technologies and ink management
- Familiarity with ink adhesion testing (crosshatch test) and print inspection against customer specifications
- Ability to operate and monitor screen printing presses (often multi-color) and related equipment
- Independence to work under SOPs
- Knowledge of ISO9000 standards and ITAR regulations
- Pre-employment background check required
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident Alien, or Protected Individual per ITAR requirements
