Job Summary
Scrap Scale Associate inspects, grades, and purchases non-ferrous materials while creating a positive, customer-focused experience for those delivering materials. This role records purchase transactions, maintains inventory records, and supports the team with packaging and shipping materials to fulfill sales orders. Primary responsibilities include weighing and inspecting incoming scrap, identifying and sorting materials, inputting transaction data, and operating equipment as needed. The position emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety regulations in a fast-paced environment. Location is Grand Rapids, MI, with in-person work on a rotating 1st shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Six months operating small equipment experience preferred
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Accuracy in operation and attention to detail
- Knowledge in inventory control
