Job Summary
Scrap Hauler on 3rd shift responsible for the sanitation of processing and production areas according to established procedures, and for overall cleanliness of the building. Tasks include cleaning floors, walls, equipment, and debris; weighing scrap totals and recording variance on VM boards; operating foaming and high-pressure washing systems; handling chemicals per MSDS; moving pallets; cross-training in other sanitation areas; complying with QA and safety programs; and working full-time onsite in Jacksonville, FL. Requires experience in food industry/sanitation, clear verbal/written communication, and the ability to identify, define, improvise and resolve quality/sanitation problems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the food industry and/or sanitation
- Must be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing
- Knowledge of production activities and equipment and understanding of quality standards to ensure safety and quality of finished products
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequently up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to operate foaming equipment and high-pressure washing systems per Work Instructions
- Ability to follow MSDS and safe handling procedures
- Ability to move pallets and assist with material handling
- Willingness to cross-train in other Sanitation Department areas
- Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment
- Full-time onsite work schedule
