Scrap Crane Operator

Job Summary
Operate scrap cranes to load, transport, and unload stainless steel and carbon scrap baskets within the yard, adhering to heat recipes and designated bin placements. Perform daily equipment maintenance checks, assist with maintenance tasks during downtime, and complete required housekeeping duties. Collaborate with leadership to train new operators and participate in continuous improvement programs for Melt Shop Operations. Sit for up to 12 hours daily while climbing heights of 100 feet via stairs or ladders. Strictly follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations, including lockout/tagout protocols and wearing required PPE such as safety shoes, hard hats, and acid PPE.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- Must work well with others
