Job Summary
As a Business Development Associate, you will support growth by prospecting and developing new client relationships alongside an Advisor. You will create and strengthen prospecting relationships by coordinating seminars and drafting print and electronic media campaigns, build new relationships via client referrals, lead lists, and cold calling, and prepare client proposals, investment recommendations, and service agreements. You will track prospects through the client management system, facilitate account opening with required documentation, and work with Advisors and Total Wealth Specialists to deepen client relationships through total wealth planning.
Required Qualifications
- Approval as an Investment Representative (IR) or Registered Representative (RR) with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO)
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Self-motivation and driven to exceed goals
- Experience in the securities industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Exceptional client service skills
