Job Summary
Senior Portfolio Manager responsible for managing client investment portfolios within Scotia Jarislowsky Fraser, acting as an investment expert in relationship management, determining appropriate asset allocation using IPQ/KYC processes, monitoring portfolios, and ensuring alignment with client goals and risk tolerance. Collaborates with Wealth Managers and Wealth Associates to satisfy client needs, delivers life-based wealth advice, mentors Wealth Associates and Wealth Managers, and ensures compliance with regulatory and firm standards. Requires deep investment management know-how, ability to communicate strategies to partners and clients, and strong relationship management skills.
Required Qualifications
- University Degree (Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance)
- CFA or CIM Designation Required
- CAIA Designation is an asset
- Minimum 5 years direct experience in discretionary investment management (covering financial analysis and portfolio management)
- Current registration as an Advising Representative or ability to meet regulatory requirements to be registered with securities commissions
- Proficiency in Mandarin or French considered a strong asset
