Job Summary
Ensure compliance with Champion's safety program and OSHA regulations by planning and implementing safety policies, training managers and employees in site safety practices, inspecting facilities for hazards, leading accident investigations, and maintaining safety records. Represent the organization in safety groups and prepare necessary reports and materials for displays and conferences. Bilingual proficiency preferred; leadership experience in safety or operations and strong communication/presentation skills are valued. Proficient in MS Office applications with excellent organizational and teamwork abilities.
Required Qualifications
- Two to four years related experience and/or training related to safe operation in a manufacturing environment preferred
- First Aid and CPR
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) preferred but not required for this position
- Experience in formal incident investigation and OSHA regulations
- Exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills
- Proficient skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Great organizational skills
- Excellent team player attitude
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily activities
