Job Summary
Scope Technician on the Telemetry unit monitors rhythms, performs clerical duties, and supports unit functioning. Responsibilities include observing telemetry monitors, notifying nurses of significant rhythm changes, maintaining patient boards and logs, handling phone communications, filing and chart-related tasks, and ensuring monitors are functioning, with emphasis on infection prevention and adherence to hospital policies. Requires high school diploma or GED, BLS, Basic Arrhythmia completion upon hire, and comfortable with basic computer skills; one year of hospital/clerical experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia course upon hire
- One year of previous clerical, receptionist, and/or hospital duties preferred
- Organization/time management and typing/basic computer skills required
