Job Summary
Scientist to advance epigenomics-based cell-free DNA diagnostic assays for cancer detection and disease monitoring. Responsibilities include planning and executing moderately complex experiments to develop automated nucleic acid-based workflows; designing assays leveraging epigenetic signals (e.g., methylation) from cfDNA for clinical applications; performing basic data analysis (JMP, R, Python, Excel); writing study protocols and SOPs; cross-functional collaboration with data scientists and bioinformaticians; generating reports/presentations for peers and management; contributing insights and troubleshooting laboratory processes and protocols. Qualifications include a degree in molecular biology/epigenomics/biochemistry or related fields; PhD with 2+ years or Master’s with 5+ years in assay development for life sciences focusing on epigenetic research; experience with liquid biopsy assay development and NGS/epigenetic techniques; strong data analysis and cross-functional communication skills. Compensation range provided with total rewards package; located in San Carlos, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in molecular biology, epigenomics, biochemistry, or closely related fields
- PhD with 2 years of experience, or Master’s with a minimum of 5 years experience in assay development for the life science industry, with demonstrated focus on epigenetic research
