Job Summary

Lead product maintenance, reformulation, and continuous improvement initiatives for nutritional beverage, food, and dietary supplement products. Evaluate alternate raw materials, resolve production and product-related issues through root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Design and execute laboratory, pilot, and manufacturing trials to support formulation changes and stability studies for packaging components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to drive cost savings, supply continuity, and manufacturing efficiency while managing multiple projects in a cGMP environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in nutritional beverage, food, and dietary supplement formulations, ingredient functionality, manufacturing processes and applicable FDA/regulatory requirements
  • Working knowledge of raw material qualification strategies, alternate ingredient assessment, and technical evaluation of ingredient substitutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects with minimal supervision
  • Proficient root cause analysis skills to resolve manufacturing issues, product events, formulation challenges, and raw material-related concerns
  • Experience designing, executing, and interpreting stability studies associated with packaging changes and product maintenance initiatives
  • Proficient in utilizing statistical and scientific data analysis tools
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical reports, investigations, protocols, specifications, and presentations
  • Minimum is 5+ years of years of experience in nutritional beverage, food, or dietary supplement product development, reformulation, and manufacturing support within a cGMP environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline
