Job Summary
Scientist, Quality Control conducts routine and non-routine QC testing of raw materials, process intermediates, and final cell therapy products using established procedures. Responsibilities include performing basic to moderately complex tests (e.g., flow cytometry and cell-based assays), documenting results per cGMP, assisting in batch records and SOP reviews, maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing reagents, aliquoting samples aseptically, and participating in assay transfer/validation. Collaborates with manufacturing, R&D, and QA to support product quality; emphasizes data integrity, timely testing, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Requires strong organizational skills, detail-oriented mindset, ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams, and willingness to work outside standard hours when needed. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science (Master’s preferred) and 2-4 years of QC/GMP experience in cell therapy or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, immunology, or related field
- 2-4 years of experience in quality control testing, analytical development, or biologics GMP
