Job Summary

Scientist at QML Pathology in Brisbane, Australia. This part-time/partially supported role (described as a part-time scientist with rotation across early to late shifts, including weekends and public holidays) requires holding a Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science, with a focus on haematology and transfusion science. The position may entail additional shifts at other metro labs as required. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge, expertise and skills within the respective discipline
  • Sound knowledge of QC, QAP and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification
  • Ability to perform duties with a high degree of independence and with infrequent supervision
  • An outstanding commitment to quality and excellence
  • A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
