Job Summary
Develop and optimize new methods and techniques to generate reliable, reproducible data for small molecule and peptide drug substance and drug product programs. Independently design and conduct critical experiments for method development, release, and stability testing while maintaining compliance with laboratory quality standards. Document activities using electronic data acquisition systems, interpret multistage experimental results, and troubleshoot instrumentation as needed. Innovate experimental protocols, apply theoretical frameworks to solve scientific problems, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory policies. This role supports early-phase development across preclinical and clinical stages within the global Analytical R&D organization, requiring proficiency in quantitative and instrumental analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or equivalent education
- Master's Degree or equivalent education
- 5 or more years' experience
- 2 or more years' experience
- Theoretical and practical knowledge (in chromatography and / or spectroscopy)
- High-quality written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with interdisciplinary scientists and engineers
- Understand and comply with AbbVie safety, quality and regulatory policies and government regulations
