Scientist in Protein Technologies Center - Cell Engineering / Molecular Biology
$86,320–$154,960 year
On-siteMemphis, Tennessee, United States
Job Summary
Engineer cell lines using CRISPR gene editing technology for generating gene knockouts and knock-ins, confirm edits, and generate stable cell lines via non-viral and viral-based delivery systems. Implement advanced technologies to develop stable target-overexpressed cell lines, pools, clones, and NGS library preparation while managing large and complex DNA constructs. Verify genomic stability throughout the clonal line-generation process to provide hands-on support to structural cell biology projects across the department. This bench-based role requires a PhD with at least five years of postdoctoral experience and eight years of relevant work experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area
- Eight (8) years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree
- Six (6) years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience with a PhD
- PhD in molecular biology or synthetic biology, or any related discipline
- at least 5 years of postdoctoral experience
