Job Summary
Design and execute biochemical and cellular assays to support drug discovery initiatives, including developing primary screening assays for small molecules and optimizing novel mechanisms of action studies. Collaborate with biologists, biochemists, and medicinal chemists to deliver high-quality data while independently managing CRO partner activities and maintaining lab equipment for experimental precision. Analyze experimental data, document findings in E-notebooks and LIMS, and generate reports to track research progress. Troubleshoot innovative workflows to integrate new technologies and reduce Design, Make, Test, Analyze cycle time. Provide mentorship and training to junior scientists within the cross-functional team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related field
- Minimum of 5+ years for bachelor's and 3+ years for Master's of relevant laboratory experience in the biotech or pharma industry
- Advanced knowledge of biochemical, molecular, and cellular biology techniques
- Strong background in data analysis and data documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced research environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in managing or analyzing research conducted using CRO partners
- Experience using liquid handling automation platforms
- Clearly communicate work in both written and spoken forms
