Job Summary

Lead chemical biology programs by designing and executing MS-based experiments for target hit finding, compound optimization, and mechanism-of-action studies. Analyze proteomic data using DIA or targeted workflows, interpret results for internal presentations, and maintain detailed laboratory records. Support hit identification and SAR advancement through innovative chemoproteomic methodologies while operating Orbitrap mass spectrometers and HPLC instrumentation. Contribute to developing new proteomic workflows and evaluating emerging chemical biology strategies. This role sits at the intersection of chemistry and biology within Antares Therapeutics' collaborative discovery team.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD. in Chemical Biology, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Proteomics, or a related discipline
  • 2–6 years of relevant industry and/or postdoctoral experience
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography instrumentation
  • Previous experience with MS-based proteomic methods to study protein/peptide modification, protein turnover, and/or targets using enrichment methods

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in small molecule drug mechanisms of action (e.g., covalent ligands, molecular glues, PROTACs, etc.)
  • Knowledge/experience with activity-based protein profiling (ABPP)
  • Familiarity with Proteome Discoverer, Skyline, DIA-NN, Spectronaut, MaxQuant, or related proteomics software
  • Programming experience and data analysis (g., Python or R) for statistical analysis, visualization, and interpretation of large biological datasets
