Job Summary
Scientist II in Purification Process Design sought to lead and innovate in purification process development for biotherapeutics. Responsibilities include driving purification process development, leading pilot and small-scale purification experiments, transferring processes to clinical and commercial facilities, and collaborating across cross-functional teams to reduce costs and improve efficiency. The role requires implementing chromatography and filtration strategies, scaling-up/downstream processes, and communicating findings through presentations and written reports. Required Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field and 7+ years of experience or Ph.D and some relevant experience
- Knowledgeable in chromatography and filtration theory, downstream development strategy, and process scale-up/transfer
- Experience with chromatography operations, including operating AKTA systems
- Experience with filtration operation, including executing bench-scale dead-end filtration, viral filtration, UF/DF, and depth filtration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
