Job Summary
Scientist II to drive purification process development for biotherapeutics manufacturing. Lead development of purification processes, perform small and pilot-scale purification, transfer processes to clinical and commercial facilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cost and efficiency. Role requires BS/MS in Engineering or Biochemistry with 7+ years of experience or PhD with relevant experience; expertise in chromatography (AKTA), filtration (dead-end, viral, UF/DF, depth filtration), and downstream development, plus strong communication skills. Location: Redmond, WA on-site. base pay range $95,000–$109,250 with discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS in Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field and 7+ years of experience or Ph.D and some relevant experience
- Knowledgeable in chromatography and filtration theory, downstream development strategy, and process scale-up/transfer
- Experience with chromatography operations, including operating AKTA systems
- Experience with filtration operation, including bench-scale dead-end filtration, viral filtration, UF/DF, and depth filtration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
