Scientist II, Developability at BigHat Biosciences – a bench-driven role leading high-throughput developability assays, driving purification and stability assessments, and guiding cross-functional teams on experimental strategy to advance lead antibodies. The role emphasizes hands-on lab work, data interpretation, automation of workflows, QC framework development, and collaboration across IND-enabling programs. Ideal candidates have a PhD in Biochemistry or related field with 3+ years in industry, strong experience in antibody developability metrics (purity, stability, tolerability, biophysical properties), proficiency with SEC/HIC/CE-SDS/DLS/DSF/ELISA/LC-MS, knowledge of protein structures and antibody engineering, and a track record of translating data into actionable plans. Nice-to-haves include startup experience, project leadership, and experience with automation and LIMS. Total rewards include salary in the $145k-$165k range plus bonus, options, and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Biochemistry or relevant discipline with 3+ year(s) of industry experience
- Strong background in biophysical and analytical characterization of antibodies and antibody fragments: SEC, HIC, CE-SDS, DLS, DSF, ELISA, LC-MS
- Experience with protein structures and antibody engineering
- Track record of translating complex data into clear results and recommended actions
- Enthusiastic about learning and onboarding new technologies to expand capabilities and improve work quality, timelines, throughput or cost
