Job Summary
Develop new assays across the Helicon platform and deliver multiplexed, high-quality screening data to inform SAR and molecule progression. Design and validate fit-for-purpose biochemical and cell-based assays, take assays from concept to robust execution, and drive mechanistic insights that guide program strategy. Expand platform capabilities by introducing automation, new technologies, and workflow improvements to increase throughput. The role requires a PhD with 2-4 years of post-doctoral or industry experience, hands-on expertise across diverse assay formats (binding, target engagement, functional biochemical assays, cell-based readouts), and a quantitative, data-quality-driven mindset. Collaboration across chemistry, biology, and data-focused teams is essential, with a focus on translating biology into actionable data and enabling project decisions.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Chemical Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline, with 2-4 years of post-doctoral or industry experience.
- Exceptional hands-on assay development expertise across both biochemical and cell-based formats
- Demonstrated ability to dissect complex biological phenomena
- Breadth of experience across multiple assay formats, including binding assays, target engagement and functional biochemical assays, and cell-based readouts
- Quantitative and rigorous approach to data quality
- Effective cross-functional communicator with a collaborative, ownership-driven approach
- A builder mindset with strong scientific judgment
