Job Summary
Quantitate lipid nanoparticles encapsulating nucleic acids under the direction of analytical scientists and analyze raw materials for LNP formulations. Establish relationships between physiochemical characteristics of experimental nanoparticle formulations and their efficacy and safety while maintaining detailed records of analytical data. Interface directly with other functional teams and share responsibility for basic lab management activities including supply ordering, instrument calibration, and maintaining schedules. This long-term contract position offers a $46/hr W2 rate with medical, dental, vision, paid sick leave, and 401K benefits, based in San Diego, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree
- 0-2 years' experience or Master's or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years' experience in pharmaceutical sciences, bio engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
- Proficiency at formulating buffers
- Proficiency at MS Excel
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years' experience in pharmaceutical sciences, bio engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related scientific discipline
- Practical experience using analytical methods such as RiboGreen, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), and Zeta potential measurement
- Prior experience with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
- Experience and proficiency with other analytical techniques
- Prior experience with advanced analytical software (Prism, JMP)
