Job Summary
Scientist, Exploratory Technology in vivo CAR-T based in Philadelphia, PA, contributing to immunology-focused exploratory platform development for in vivo CAR-T cell therapies. Key duties include producing research-grade lentivirus for exploratory studies; performing lentivirus titering (p24 ELISA, qPCR); developing and optimizing cell and gene therapy platforms and in vitro immunoassays (whole blood transduction, T cell isolation/expansion, multi-color flow cytometry, cytotoxic assays, cytokine detection, VCN analysis); designing and executing experiments independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams; delivering reliable data and interpreting results for presentation within research and cross-functional teams; completing ELN documentation promptly; supporting general laboratory chores; and leveraging experience from early research to clinical-stage projects. Requirements emphasize PhD in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, or related fields (or Master’s with substantial experience), hands-on experience in relevant domains, viral vector expertise, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills. Required Qualifications
- PhD in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field OR Master’s degree with 3–6+ years of relevant experience
- Hands-on experience in immunology, cell therapy, gene therapy, or related fields
- Experience with viral vector systems (especially lentivirus) is highly preferred
- Industry or postdoctoral experience is a plus
- Cell biology and molecular biology techniques
- Virology and viral vector systems (e.g., lentivirus)
- Mammalian cell culture and immune cell handling
- Flow cytometry and immunoassays
- Strong data analysis, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
