Job Summary
Develop improved electrolytes to enhance power output and minimize corrosion for Voya's metal-air fuel cells. Identify structure-property relationships to translate findings into optimized electrolyte designs. Design analytical tests to uncover mechanisms and inform subsequent experimental iterations. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to scale new electrolytes from laboratory settings to pilot and production-intent systems. This role supports the development of Voya's proprietary metal-based fuel technology, enabling the commercialization of reliable, clean electricity through advanced electrocatalyst validation.
Required Qualifications
- Proven ability to invent and advance novel chemistries from concept to validation, preferably in energy storage/generation applications
- Experience with the development of electrolytes for electrochemical systems (e.g. fuel cells, batteries, electrolyzers)
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Results-oriented with a strong sense urgency
