On-siteHayward, California, United States
Job Summary
Develop improved molecular electrocatalysts to enhance the power, efficiency, and energy density of Voya's metal-air fuel cells. Identify structure-property relationships, determine mechanisms of action and failure, and translate findings into optimized catalyst designs. Collaborate with external vendors to source novel ligands and complexes for screening and scale-up, evaluating synthesis feasibility and costs. Partner with the product development team to scale and demonstrate technology from laboratory settings to pilot and production-intent systems. This Scientist role sits within Voya Energy's Engineering Team, contributing to the commercialization of a groundbreaking metal-based fuel designed to convert recycled metals into reliable, clean electricity.
