Scientist - Cell Line Development

Job Summary
Execute routine cell culture experiments to support cell line development and upstream teams, including sampling, counting, passaging cells, preparing DNA for transfection, and screening transfected cells. Prepare media, buffers, and solutions required for laboratory work while maintaining electronic laboratory notebooks. Present work summaries to internal function teams and collaborate actively with cross-functional groups to facilitate the pipeline development of large molecules. Perform tasks in compliance with regulatory authorities, compendia, and ICH guidelines, applying GMPs and GLPs to documentation and instrument use.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant life sciences program
- 2+ years of experience
- MS degree in relevant scientific degree
- Knowledge of applicable regulatory authority, compendia and ICH guidelines
- Ability to understand and independently apply GMPs and /or GLPs to everyday work with regard to documentation and instrument use
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to perform tasks
- Ability to independently optimize analytical methods
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Time management and project management skills
- Problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with a team
- Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner
- Able to work upright and stationary and/or standing for typical working hours
- Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
- Able to work in non-traditional work environments
- Able to use and learn standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
- Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities
