Job Summary
Develop and implement biochemical approaches to establish the activity, mechanism of action, trafficking, and metabolism of candidate therapeutics in vitro and in vivo. Perform imaging studies using confocal microscopy, superresolution imaging, and electron microscopy. Characterize the potency and signaling activity of candidate therapeutics to support selection for efficacy studies. Develop and implement assays to evaluate molecular interaction networks and tissue-specific cell signaling of candidate antibodies. This Scientist, Cell Biology role at Angiex, a biotech startup developing vascular-targeted therapies for cancer, focuses on novel cellular pathways in endothelial and tumor cells. The position requires a Ph.D. with extensive wet-lab experience in cell biology and intracellular trafficking.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, immunology, or a related discipline
- substantial experience in wet-bench laboratory work
- a strong record of accomplishment including a strong publication record
- Experience in cell biology
- experience in intracellular trafficking
