Scientist, Cell-Based & Functional Assays
On-site · Lausanne, Vaud, Switzerland
Job Summary
Develop, qualify, and run cell-based functional assays hands-on (cell activation and signaling, reporter-gene assays, potency assays, and antibody functional readouts such as agonism/antagonism, ADCC/CDC-type effects, T-cell activation, and cytokine readouts). Turn bespoke assays into productized, repeatable capabilities; integrate assays into production workflows with lab automation for high-throughput readiness; partner with software to structure and model functional data (dose-response, potency, normalization) for cross-run comparability; maintain assay robustness through controls and reference standards; advise customers and internal teams on assay design and interpretation of functional data.
Required Qualifications
- Deep, hands-on experience developing cell-based and functional/potency assays
- Applied industry experience in production, development, or commercial settings
- Strong understanding of antibody/protein function and how to design appropriate assays
- Ability to stand up new assay capabilities and productize them
- Interdisciplinary mindset spanning biology, automation, and software
- Data fluency; scripting and dose-response/potency data analysis is a strong plus
