Job Summary
Automation Lab Operations Scientist role within Thermo Fisher’s High Throughput Automation team. Responsibilities include maintaining and QC-ing liquid handling instruments (e.g., CombinL, Biotek, Echo, Hamilton, Felix), performing maintenance and troubleshooting, and collaborating with users to establish and test instrument protocols. Provides first-line technical support for automated protocols and instrumentation, assists with onboarding and training of end users, and helps adapt workflows to meet user needs. Requires a Bachelor's degree in lab sciences or a related field (Master's preferred) with 2+ years’ experience (or Master’s degree) and hands-on experience with instrument QC/maintenance. Must comply with GMP and safety standards in a fully onsite role at a customer site in Boston, MA, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm EST; must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship and able to pass a background check including drug screening. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar OR Master's degree; 2+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
