Job Summary
Lead and contribute to translational agri-tech initiatives across Singapore by evaluating and benchmarking CEA and greenhouse technologies for tropical, farm-scale application. Develop and manage digital roadmaps, databases and knowledge-management systems to organise, analyse and synthesise agri-tech landscape data, including precision and digital agriculture solutions. Plan and execute translational research projects to evaluate CEA technologies under tropical greenhouse, rooftop and indoor farm conditions. Translate research findings into actionable advisory and policy-relevant inputs for farms and stakeholders to improve productivity, resilience, and resource efficiency. Build and sustain partnerships with Institutes of Higher Learning, research organisations, technology providers, and industry stakeholders to advance translational research and cross-sector knowledge exchange. Represent Singapore at international platforms to support urban food production and agri-food innovation. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. or a Master's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Horticultural Science, or a related discipline with a focus on controlled environment horticulture in indoor and greenhouse farms.
- Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant applied research experience will also be considered.
