Job Summary
Scientist 2 - Project Scientist: Collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples; gather, analyze, and interpret data; ~80% field work/20% office work; draft technical reports; ensure safe performance of project work; actively develop your own career growth. Requires BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field; 2+ years of environmental field sampling and data collection; familiarity with NJDEP/NYDEC/PADEP regulations; strong technical writing and communication skills; proficiency with field procedures; 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred; valid driver’s license; MS Office proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Experience with local NJDEP, NYDEC, and/or PADEP regulations
- Demonstrated proficiency with field procedures
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
- Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation
