Job Summary
Develop and execute experiments for oncology WGS assay development across diverse techniques; identify technical challenges and troubleshoot to optimize NGS-based clinical applications; document observations in internal tracking systems and summarize conclusions for team decisions; communicate results to aid in decision-making and contribute to improving team performance by sharing knowledge and training peers in a fast-paced research environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, genetics, genomics or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in industry development of molecular biology and/or biochemical applications, NGS assays or related field
- Hands-on experience with library preparation and sequencing for NGS, with experience on NovaSeq 6000 and NovaSeq X preferred
- Knowledge of NGS secondary analysis techniques preferred
- Training or experience in the field of oncology including DNA and RNA variants preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic development environment
- Ability to think and work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical, detail oriented, organized, efficient, problem solver
