Scientist 1, Analytical Development

Scientist 1 in Analytical Development will independently plan and execute simple lab experiments, support qualification of analytical methods for API/intermediates/final drug products, and communicate results to cross-functional teams and clients. The role requires hands-on work with chromatography (HPLC/UPLC, GC), UV/Vis, dissolution, moisture analysis, and physical characterization (TGA, DSC, PXRD, GVS, SEM). Responsibilities include developing cleaning verification methods, troubleshooting and optimizing methods, performing qualification studies for method transfer to QC, maintaining accurate lab notebooks, and potentially leading technical discussions with clients. The position is on-site in San Diego, CA, with a salary range of $78,000–$85,000 annually, and requires a Bachelor's degree (MS considered with preferred additional experience).
