Job Summary
Scientific Support Associate handles incoming technical inquiries from Bio-Techne's North American customers and the company’s commercial team, providing first-tier technical and sales assistance for R&D Systems, Tocris, and Novus products. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries by phone, email, and chat; completing simple quotes; maintaining technical resources; supporting Customer Service and Sales; ongoing product training; documenting issues and communicating with Technical Service, Customer Care, and Sales; assisting with Voice of Customer and cross-selling efforts; generating retail/consultation quotations; and coordinating with North American and International teams. Role is based in Minneapolis, MN with on-site primary work and a hybrid work-from-home schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or equivalent
- 0-2 years of directly related or laboratory experience
- Customer service or sales experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Ability to work a schedule that includes on-site and hybrid work in Minneapolis, MN
- Experience with Salesforce/CRM (customer inquiries, quotes, tracking)
