Job Summary
Collaborate with field sales teams to educate key recommenders and drive increased market share within the assigned geography. Cultivate relationships with specialty referral hospitals to expand nutrition category sales and establish a network of Key Opinion Leaders to support veterinary operations and scientific communications. Deliver best-in-class nutrition education to veterinarians and hospital staff while serving as a trusted technical resource for expert case consultations. Represent Royal Canin at key conferences and events to enhance brand presence, adapting to territory coverage requirements that include extensive travel of 50–75% of the time, including overnight stays. Manage remote work from home when not traveling to fulfill additional duties supporting business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (or VMD)
- Active license in at least one state
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a veterinary practitioner, including internships, co-ops, and/or residency
- Exceptional scientific communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively—up to 75% within the assigned territory
- Eligibility for a company vehicle
- Flexibility to travel during nights and weekends
- Capability to independently manage travel arrangements
- Ability to travel overnight 3+ nights each week
- Ability to work from home effectively when not traveling
