Job Summary
Conduct fact-checking for scientific deliverables by ensuring data is supported by published sources or client materials. Generate and review data figures and tables, while developing search strings to perform literature searches across various scientific databases. Review journal proofs for publication accuracy and coordinate with scientific teams for manuscript and abstract submissions to journals and congresses. Complete assignments accurately by designated deadlines while collaborating respectfully with internal teams. Requires an MS, PhD, or PharmD in biological science with 0-2 years of agency fact-checking experience. Remote or hybrid in Toronto; salary $67,000 to $78,000.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates who reside within a one-hour commuting distance of our Toronto office are required to work from the office 2–3 days per week
- MS, PhD, or PharmD in biological science is required
- 0-2 years experience in fact-checking in an agency setting
- Able to independently comprehend and analyze scientific content and review deliverables
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to prioritize and manage workload across multiple projects under tight timelines
- Collaborative style that will work well across departments, cultures, and geographies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and GraphPad Prism software
