Job Summary
Research and evaluate NIH scientific programs by conducting literature searches in PubMed and Web of Science, analyzing progress reports, and preparing data-driven presentations. Manage project documentation, track action items, and maintain spreadsheets for grants and contracts while coordinating logistics for scientific meetings, workshops, and conferences. Draft funding plans, develop milestones, and organize meeting minutes and background materials for Program staff. Lead efforts to improve the Branch Office website and social media strategy to keep stakeholders informed.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics of a related discipline
- 3 years specialized experience plus a Bachelor's degree is equivalent to a Master's degree
- Minimum of one (3) years of experience in biology or a related field
- Demonstrated experience with: MS Office
- Demonstrated experience with: PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience with: Excel
- Demonstrated experience with: WebEx
- Demonstrated experience with: MS Word
- Demonstrated experience with: SharePoint
- Strong communications skills, both oral and written
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of NIH grant system and funding mechanisms is preferred
