Job Summary
Scientific Operations Engineer I responsible for on-site hardware and software support to ensure timely execution of lab experiments. You will identify and fix code bugs, instrument software, and setup errors while collaborating with Scientific Development and Laboratory Operations teams to improve cloud-lab quality and performance. You will develop a deep understanding of the Wolfram Language and its application at Emerald, gaining expertise across all experiments and instruments offered, including familiarity with the associated software and hardware. This role emphasizes problem-solving, automation, and a willingness to learn new methods and instrumentation in a dynamic lab environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in a GxP or Life Sciences environment
- experience applying systemic troubleshooting methodologies to complex technical problems
- willingness to learn computer programming (Wolfram Language)
- ability to work fixed, but non-traditional hours (night role available)
- data driven with statistical analysis experience
- experience troubleshooting experiments and complex experimentation
- ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve lab quality and performance
