Job Summary
Lab Technician position focusing on expanding human iPSCs and differentiating into heart muscle, including generation of 3D engineered tissues, performing cell-based experiments, quality controls (cell purity, contamination checks, gene expression profiling by qPCR, Western Blotting), and supporting lab organization (ordering, sterilization, cleaning) with electronic documentation. Role requires a diploma or similar degree with cell culture/in vitro experience; English fluency is mandatory and German is desirable. The position is a 2-year contract at 50% in Basel within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, offering training in iPSC culture and differentiation and involvement in multiple projects.
Required Qualifications
- Lab Technician with diploma or similar degree
- Experience in cell culture and in vitro experimentation
- Fluent English (speaking and writing); German desirable
- Excellent oral communication and teamwork
- Ability to learn practical techniques and apply knowledge to solve technical problems
- Time management and focus on reproducibility and documentation
