Job Summary
Develop and execute always-on and major campaigns by proposing multi-channel content ideas for blogs, social media, long-form articles, and podcasts. Conduct research to strengthen MDPI's brand while ensuring timely publishing and promotion across relevant channels. Contribute to at least four blog posts monthly and participate in team meetings covering workload planning, SEO, content strategy, and performance metrics. Review articles from other contributors as part of the peer-review process. This full-time, in-office role is based in Manchester city centre. Candidates require a PhD, two years of content creation experience, native-level English proficiency, and familiarity with Microsoft O365 and blogging platforms like WordPress.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in any field
- 2+ years of experience developing, coordinating, or creating content in a business environment
- Native-level English proficiency
- Familiarity with Microsoft O365
- Basic understanding of key social media platforms (Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube) for business use
- Strong understanding of promotion and marketing strategies
- Experience using blogging platforms such as WordPress, Substack, Medium, or similar
- Intermediate knowledge of content creation and communication best practices
- Intermediate knowledge of SEO best practices
- Interested in science and communications
- Curious to learn more about the publishing industry
- Full-time, in-office role based in our Manchester city centre office
