Job Summary
Scientific Business Analyst within an SAFe product team for Lab Information Management Systems (LIMS) in a Canada remote role. Partners with global Research Informatics and technology peers to translate scientific and technical needs into product requirements, user stories, and supporting artifacts; manages suites of internal platforms and COTS software, oversees data capture/analysis, data integrity, and regulatory/compliance requirements; develops and maintains a product roadmap with timelines and milestones; collaborates with product owners and developers to ensure quality deliverables; supports operational excellence, cybersecurity, and AI/ML capabilities; requires strong communication and ability to work with global, virtual teams; preferred background includes PhD/Master’s with relevant life sciences/IT experience, LIMS implementation knowledge (LabVantage, STARLIMS, Watson LIMS), cloud infrastructure (AWS), and agile/SAFe proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 2 - 4 years of experience in Life Sciences, Computer Science, IT, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics or related field, OR Bachelor’s degree with 4 - 8 years of experience in Life Sciences, Computer Science, IT, Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics or related field, OR Diploma with 8 - 10 years of experience in Life Sciences, Computer Science, IT, Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics or related field
- 3+ years of experience in implementing and supporting LIMS platforms
- Preferred qualifications include experience with LabVantage, STARLIMS, Watson LIMS; regulatory knowledge (FDA Part 11, GLP, GCP); cloud/AWS; AI/ML for drug discovery; agile product management; SAFe; JIRA; data capture/analysis from instruments; bioanalytical workflows; LIMS configuration/administration; data integrity and validation
