Job Summary
Develop and implement data handling and analysis systems for large-scale biotherapeutic development. Create code and data structure definitions to integrate and visualize laboratory data into management databases. Support and extend existing pipelines, code, and databases while working with scientific staff to collect requirements and review prototypes. Monitor and troubleshoot data platforms to ensure uptime, manage user feedback and bug reports, and develop training programs to drive adoption. Communicate results to senior management and coordinate internal client interactions.
Required Qualifications
- B.S., M.S., or equivalent experience
- Strong experience in scientific software development
- Strong experience in Java development
- Proficiency with other programming languages such as Python or R
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with typical raw data exchange formats
- Experience with web UI frameworks such as PrimeFaces, ExtJs, or AngularJS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
- Effective task/time management organizational skills
- Ability to work in small groups as well as independently
- Ability to organize, analyze/interpret, and effectively communicate results
- Experience with AWS or other cloud solutions
- Familiarity with code versioning tools
- Familiarity with the LabKey system
- Scientific data visualization experience
- Scientific algorithm development experience
- Familiarity with handling of NGS and genomic data
