Job Summary
Scientific Affairs Intern in Austin, TX, supporting investigational and clinical research in exercise physiology and human performance. Responsibilities include serving as a co-investigator on internally administered studies, helping with study design, scheduling, materials preparation, recruitment, data collection/entry/analysis/interpretation, poster/conference presentations and manuscript development (if applicable), development and maintenance of investigational product structure and function claims, concierge fitness and human performance testing, strength coaching/personal training, and ensuring participant safety and confidentiality, along with equipment maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in a Master of Science degree preferred or a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology
- NSCA CSCS, NSCA CPT, ACSM CEP/EP/PT certification preferred
- ACRP or CITI Ethics and Human Subject Protection certification (necessary for serving as a co-investigator)
- Adult First Aid, AED, and CPR certification
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to communicate effectively to lay and scientific audiences
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Experience with data collection, entry, analysis, and interpretation
