Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one science instruction for students in grades K–12, focusing on life, earth, physical, and advanced science topics to build conceptual understanding and scientific reasoning. Identify gaps in foundational knowledge and align sessions with personalized academic roadmaps using SiSTEM's planning tools. Communicate progress and strategy with families while maintaining high standards of preparation and professionalism. Work as a trusted academic partner to help students develop confidence and master concepts for test prep or STEM competitions.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of teaching, tutoring, or academic mentoring experience in science
- Deep expertise in at least one of the science subjects listed above
- Experience working with motivated students who are in honors, Pre-AP, AP, gifted, or test prep settings
- A track record of helping students improve grades, build confidence, or master concepts they previously struggled with
- Clear, patient communication and the ability to make science click for students who think they're 'not a science person'
- Professional reliability
Desired Qualifications

- educators with degrees in biology, chemistry, physics, or science education
