Job Summary
Science Teacher responsible for delivering science instruction to students in Texarkana, Texas. Develop and implement learning activities designed to help students achieve academic growth and develop competencies across intellectual, emotional, physical, and social domains. Require strong knowledge of science subjects, curriculum and instruction, and ability to manage classroom behavior. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree, a valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject/grade level, and meet No Child Left Behind Highly Qualified Teacher requirements. At least one year of student teaching or approved internship is required. CPR, first aid and AED certification may be required. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject/grade level assigned
- Meet No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Highly Qualified Teacher requirements for subject/grade level assigned
- CPR, first aid and AED certification may be required (ex. PE, Marching Band)
- Experience: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
