Science Teacher

Science Teacher position responsible for delivering a broad range of instructional services to a targeted student audience. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials, differentiates instruction to meet diverse learner needs, and uses multiple assessment methods to evaluate student progress. Maintains effective classroom management, communicates with parents, adheres to district policies and safety protocols, and participates in ongoing professional development. Aligns instruction with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, collaborates with colleagues and families, integrates technology to support learning, and helps students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Requires NC teaching license in the appropriate subject area or qualifications to obtain one; holds responsibility for supervision of students and performing non-instructional duties as assigned. Maintains professional ethics and contributes to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
