Job Summary
Teach secondary science up to Year 10 at Genesis Christian College, a Prep to Year 12 independent school in North Brisbane. Deliver innovative, high-quality learning within a Christ-centred environment while developing students of character, purpose, and faith. Collaborate with a teaching team to implement curriculum aligned with the QCAA syllabuses and Australian National Curriculum, including writing and editing quality reports for parents and the wider community. Interact proactively with families to provide exceptional customer service. This permanent, full-time role begins 01 Jan 2027, offering annual pay increases and opportunities for additional responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- QCT Registration (or eligibility)
- demonstrated Teaching experience
- Ability to teach Secondary Science up to Year 10
- Knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices and assessment strategies appropriate to secondary schooling
- Familiarity with the QCAA syllabuses
- experience in curriculum development (in line with the Australian National Curriculum)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work proactively within a collaborative teaching team
- An active Christian faith
- commitment to the aims of an Independent Christian School
- quality customer service skills when interacting with parents and the wider community
- the ability to develop, write and edit quality reports
